What is Pip Puzzle?
Pip Puzzle is a fast-paced puzzle fighting game where you have to overwhelm your opponent by flooding their side with gems. Your character's unique action skill helps you to do this, ranging from allowing you to pick up and place gems, smashing through them, throwing balls onto your opponent's side or even turning their gems black and white for a few turns.

As you play one of 20 stages inspired by Sega Genesis / Mega Drive limitations, the atmosphere changes to match the intensity of the match. For example, an oil-drenched bazaar turns into a heatwave-scorched hellscape set alight, and a dystopian Tokyo into a city smothered by an oppressive fog that blurs your senses.

The music also evolves, starting with those same Sega Genesis / Mega Drive limitations, but ditching them as one of the players is losing—evolving into rock, jazz, or any number of different genres to fit the stage atmosphere.

This game is a sequel to an action-platformer game that hasn't been released yet, but is also close to done. This game is a palate cleanser and I'll be finishing off the other game afterwards.

This is an incredibly well-made game a bit too well made for this I forum admit ^_^''

But congrats, I love the graphics and the gameplay looks to be a nice mixture of Puyo Puyo and Columns.

Friend of mine on here, told me on Discord how impressed he was at the game too. Wishing you and your friends the best of luck with your game!

Appreciate it, though I'm sure we have some great talent here yet to be posted!

Here's how it looked when we first started:

Then a bit after that:

It's inspired mainly by Puzzle Fighter and Superbub, an obscure NetYaroze game for the PS1. Puzzle Fighter has a very fun gameplay loop + feel, but I always felt like it had a lot of potential to it that wasn't explored. Superbub had an interesting feel where as you play the music evolves and background changes a bit. I always liked that idea and wanted to expand on it further. Here's some gameplay of Superbub:

Missed out on Columns, though Puyo Puyo's fun. I played a lot of Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine when I was younger.

Thank you! Will keep you updated. (^:
